Get your A1/A3 License
Getting a pilot license is the first step to fly with a drone. You will get the main training of legal operations, and safety.
1. Compliance with Aviation Regulations
Most countries follow aviation authority guidelines EASA in Europe which mandate that drone operators must be certified to fly in specific categories. The A1/A3 license is the basic requirement for operating drones safely in open categories.
2. Airspace Safety
The A1/A3 license ensures that operators: Understand airspace restrictions and drone flying limitations. Avoid flying over uninvolved people (A1) or near populated areas (A3). Know how to prevent collisions and other aviation risks.
3. Operator Responsibility and Knowledge
Licensed pilots are trained in: Meteorology and how weather affects drone flight. Emergency procedures. Maintenance and pre-flight checks. Data protection and privacy considerations.
4. Insurance and Liability
Flying without a license can result in legal and financial liability if an accident or violation occurs.
5. Professional Credibility
Holding an A1/A3 license demonstrates that a drone pilot is serious, competent, and trained, which is especially important in agricultural programs where drones are used for crop analysis, spraying, and land surveying.
